The best cheap stereo amplifiers in history

Some cheap amplifiers are considered authentic legends (some of them are possibly the best amplifiers ever designed) and many are able to measure themselves on equal terms with some of the most expensive devices in the current market. Of course, you run the risk that the component is not in optimal condition, but considering the amount invested, it is well worth it.

NAD 3020 2 x 28W. 1978 and 80s. A classic. One of the best designs ever. Sweet sound, extremely pleasant coloration, somewhat mild but of great elegance, good level of detail.

NAIM NAIT 1 2 x 15W. 80s. A classic, optimal design, fun, detailed, exact dose of brightness and poise.

SONY TAF 4A 2 x 55W You can spend long hours listening to it and you will always learn new things from it. Designed with wisdom. Generous and full-bodied sound.

ROTEL RA-935 BX 2 x 40W One of the best designs of the company: wise design, deep scene, ethereal treble, delicious middle band.

HARMAN KARDON A402 2 x 40W Good times for HK: powerful, excellent treble, spaciousness and transparency.

MARANTZ 1060 2 x 30W. 70s. Accurate, very detailed, step wise, optimal articulated bass.




LUXMAN L31 2 x 38W 80s. If you see it at this price, don't even think about it; they are no longer manufactured like this on their fringe.

SONY TA F630ESD 2 x 90W 90s. One of the best devices of the manufacturer, which did not recover again; Shocking scene.

MARANTZ PM44SE 2 x 50W Substantial sound, well articulated and subtle bass, treble with wood flavor and good lateral extension of the scene.

CREEK CAS 4040 2 x 30W. 80s. Excellent treble, serious of great sobriety and precision, very good dynamics.

MARANTZ PM4000 2 x 30W Honest, balanced, excellent for pop, good level of detail and huge depth of scene.

DENON PMA-250SE 2 x 30W One of Denon's best machines. Fluid, organic, sound of enormous coherence and richness.

CYRUS ONE 2 x 25W 80s. Informal but fascinating. According to some, the best low budget amplifier ever designed. Musical, sweet, controlled, rhythmic. With him, everything sounds good. Excellent phono section.

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO A1 MK3 SE. 2 x 30W One of the best that this brand has designed.
